George E. Girardi, MD
Before embarking on his career in pain medicine in Colorado, Dr. Girardi earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology and critical care at the University of Chicago Hospitals, working as chief resident his final year.

Dr. Girardi has been working with patients in Fort Collins, Colorado for nearly 18 years. In that time, he has served as chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and of Anesthesia Quality Assurance at Poudre Valley Hospital. He joined the medical staff as an anesthesiologist at Poudre Valley Hospital in 1994, and has previously served as medical director at Spring Creek Surgery Center. Dr. Girardi joined Front Range Pain Medicine in 2002. Additionally, Dr. Girardi is faculty for St. Jude Medical.

Dr. Girardi specializes in the treatment of back, neck and other pain conditions. He performs interventional management procedures utilizing fluoroscopic guidance and patient sedation, as needed. Dr. Girardi performs nerve blocks, epidural injections, selective nerve root blocks, radiofrequency neural ablation, sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulation and discograms.

Dr. Girardi holds certifications from the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the International Spine Intervention Society, The American Academy of Pain Medicine and The Colorado Medical Society.

Michael Brown, D.O.
Dr. Michael Brown, Staff Physician at Front Range Pain Medicine and Northern Colorado Anesthesia Professionals, works with patients and their providers to treat acute and chronic pain with interventional therapies. Dr. Brown specializes in treating pain conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine; trigeminal, postherpetic, and peripheral neuralgia; myofascial pain syndromes; phantom limb pain; and complex regional pain syndrome. He is also fluent in spoken and written Spanish.

Before joining the team at Front Range Pain Medicine, Dr. Brown completed his Bachelor of Science at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University. His postgraduate training includes a Traditional Osteopathic Internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois; Anesthesiology Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan; and Pain Medicine Fellowship, Department of Anesthesiology at Fletcher Allen Health Care in association with The University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. Dr Brown is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Medical Association, and American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Brown holds a certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys skiing, biking, running – which includes two marathon charity runs, tennis, golf, and water sports.

Matthew D. Pouliot, D.O.
Dr. Pouliot is board-certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and practices medicine with a special emphasis on chronic spinal and orthopedic pain. Prior to joining the staff of Front Range Pain Medicine, where he practices physical medicine and rehabilitation, he held similar positions with Rocky Mountain Associates in Orthopedic Medicine in Johnston, Colorado, and Pain Partners MD in Lafayette.

A graduate of the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Pouliot later completed both his fellowship in pain medicine and his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He is a member of severalprofessional organizations, including the International Association for theStudy of Pain (IASP) and the North American Spine Society (NASS), and has given numerous presentations on advanced interventional pain techniques.

Deb Dennis, PA-C
Deb works with Dr. Girardi as his Physician Assistant.  She has been with Front Range Pain Medicine for over 6 years.  Prior to working in pain medicine Deb worked in family practice, she spent 10 years in two separate hospital based practices in Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado.  Deb also spent three years in an OB-GYN practice in Greeley, Colorado.

Deb received her Nursing Degree from the University of Nebraska.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for twelve years before attending the Medical School at the University of North Dakota where she completed Physician Assistant Graduate Studies.
